Mini Haul

Okay so I haven't bought that much but as a broke uni student, spending money on indulgences is definitely restricted, but on the other hand I'm not going to stop. Here's an overall picture of the incredibly small haul.

20130525_103337

  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Nail Polish in 193 Black Cherries

  • Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in 912 Electric Orange

  • L'Oreal Color Riche Le Khol in 109 Azure Blue

  • Simple Facial Wipes

  • MAC Paint Pot in Let's Skate

First off I've tried all the products so this is also a little bit of a initial review. I heard of the Black Cherries nail polish off YouTube and well it looked gorgeous and I really needed some autumn/fall themed shades cause I mainly own summery ones. Here is a swatch on one of my nails, not the best of quality but in regards with the color it is a dark purple with a tad bit of shimmer and is close to black but the maroony purple tone payoff is beautiful in natural light.

Next off is the Color Riche Le Kohl which i am in LOVE with. The pigmentation is absolutely beautiful and the last, shocked me a little. I wore it over to my boyfriend's place and I ended up just falling asleep with my makeup on (yes I know a very bad habit) and when i woke up the color had only faded slightly but still very pigmented.

My current TV obsession is Mad Men and I just admire Joan Hollaway so much (Kristina Hendrick's Character) and well it inspired to try out a few looks and I thought that no 60's look would be complete with out an outrageous orange. So I made my way into Priceline and swatched a few different shades and this one just caught my eye. Love the pigmentation and it looks just spectacular on :)

And Finally, my splurge, MAC paint pot in Let's Skate from the new Baked Beauties collection, and I love this so much. I'm sure I can work it into some of my everyday looks. And when I say splurge it's because MAC products are significantly more expensive than other products, especially in Australia, but every time I purchase something, I never regret it so that's how I can justify it. I couldn't get a decent swatch of this but it pays off with a lots of sparkle and a light white shade and will be a nice glittery base to maybe spruce up matte neutral looks. (will have to try, can't wait :))

BTW I'm not wearing any foundation just a little bit of translucent powder and a tad bit of concealer.

If you want to know what I used or how I did it, give me a message and I'll let you know :)

Okay...Maybe I have a problem

Some people have books.

Some people have hugge social lives.

And then there's people like me, who indulge in their obsessions with anything beauty related, music masterpieces that come their way and the occasional television addiction.

When I say tv addiction. I bloody mean it. I swear I must have a problem, but since I'm not hurting anyone (other than myself, in a sense of creating some sort of social life) I figured that it was alright to keep going the way I was.

I really believe in my TV Show addiction as of today, when I decided, "Hey, I haven't seen The Walking Dead yet! I must watch it" And proceed to spend my day watching the entirety of the first season. (It was great by the way, worth the 6 hour watch)

This isn't the first time I've done this, and over the last year it's increasingly become clear that I have a problem. I just want to watch everything. I'll give anything a go.

But since I started uni and well dating my current boyfriend, I've become A WHOLE lot more critical, and I literally analyse everything that happens on screen (and the non-spoken subtleties too :))

If you think there's a show I should check out send me a comment or message me on twitter @kaitlynisabel, and help feed my addiction.

In the words of Barney Stintson, "It's not a problem, if you're good at it!"

April Favourites :)

There's not thaat many but enough to show and tell.

They're in no particular order :)

Face

Skin79 - BB Cream

20130502_144616

The consistency is great and even though it's a BB Cream, I feel that I get great coverage. I've been using this product for a solid two months and it has completely replaced my normal, everyday foundation. It's also very breathable and since I live in such a hot and humid place it's a nice refresher not to feel so caked up, just so you don't look like a melted zombie. It also blends very nice and even when I think I may have used too much, I don't looked all cakey. Absolutely in love with this product. :)

NARS Blush in Orgasm

20130502_144641

Now I know every girl and their mother has raved about this product, but I'm a little late on the bandwagon. This blush really works with my skin tone and in my opinion does my face a whole lot of justice. The golden undertones are also well-received and I don't find them too sparkly or glittery; just right. :)

Eyes

Bourjois Liner Feature in 11 Noir

20130502_14460920130502_144559

This month I have been practicing, practicing and practicing some more to become some what accustomed to doing winged eyeliner, and I believe that this eyeliner really helped. Even with my shaky hands it still seemed to do my amateur makeup skills some justice. Also I feel that the pigmentation is great.:)

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara

20130502_150918

Once again, I'm slow to follow the bandwagon, but I am absolutely in love with this mascara. I feel like it lengths my lashes beautifully and I really adore the lightweight formula. :)

Lips

MAC House Wine Lipstick

20130502_14474520130502_150944

I've had this little lovely in my collection for awhile, but until recently I never wore it. Now i can't seem to wear it enough. The pigmentation is awesome and well the wear it just brilliant. :)

Nails

O.P.I. Polishes in Love is a Racket and Significant Other Color  &   Sally Hansen's Dry and Go Drops

20130502_150910

All month I've just been swapping between these two lovely polishes. A new addition is the Dry&Go Drops, which save a LOT of time in the personal manicure time frame. Love Love Love these so much. :)

Well I think that about wraps it up :)

Till Next Time,
